Maribita
Korean for Spanish speakers: Hangul and a word a day.
Coming soon to the App Store
A game for learning Korean, made for Spanish speakers and fully available in English. Each day you see a word with its meaning and you write it in Korean, in Hangul. No Korean keyboard needed: the app has its own jamo keyboard, and syllables build themselves as you tap consonants and vowels. When you get it right you see the romanization, an example sentence with translation and spoken pronunciation.
What's inside
- "Build the syllable" workshop: 6 stages, from 아 어 오 to 닭 and 값, showing where each letter goes (initial consonant, vowel and 받침).
- Interactive Hangul chart and pronunciation notes: ㅓ vs ㅗ, ㅡ, the ㄱ/ㅋ/ㄲ series and the 받침. Ear training.
- A daily word, the same for everyone, with streaks. Three ways to answer: multiple choice, a syllable grid with color hints and a free mode.
- 600+ TOPIK I words by topic, spaced-repetition cards and quizzes.
- Daily missions, stars, badges and a tutorial with Lupe the axolotl. Spanish, English, Japanese and Korean.
